Crispy Chili Sweet Potato Fries

These sweet potatoes fries are too.much.to.handle. Even Nug loved them and well, kids are weird. One day they devour a cornucopia full of fruits and veggies, the next day all they want is Mac n cheese (Annie's, none of that Kraft brand crap please). So I say if these are nug approved, they are worth making again and again!

Recipe:

6 small sweet potatoes
4 tbsp unrefined coconut oil
2 tbsp chili powder
6 tsp garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp sea salt
5 tsp arrowroot starch

Directions:

Wash and cut sweet potatoes into even wedges. Place in a bowl and add in above ingredients. Toss mixture with hands to disperse seasoning. Lay wedges in a single layer onto two cookie sheets. Bake in oven at 425 degrees for 30 minutes, tossing occasionally.

Goodness for Grapefruit Smoothie

The color of this smoothie makes me happy. And so do the flavors. Need I say more? However, the jury is still out on grapefruit, as a quick wiki search on the origins of grapefruit and the interactions it has with certain medications etc is really a downer. But everything in moderation people!

1 1/2 cups frozen mango
1 ruby red grapefruit
2 organic carrot stalks
1 tbsp raw hulled hemp seeds
1 tsp raw honey
1 cup filtered water

Directions

Blend above ingredients on high until smooth. Store in glass mason jars for up to 3 days in refrigerator.
